Photographic Archives – large format scanning as an archival resource

This specialised seminar is aimed at curators, collectors and archivists interested in digitising prints, paintings or other artworks at extreme resolution and with minimal exposure to UV light.
The seminar will include:

  • Production of a scan and facsimile, indistinguishable from the original, for conservation and reproduction purposes using our Cruse Scanner
  • Group discussion on archival issues and concerns as well as production strategies and efficiencies

We will scan a print, up to 1800mm x 1200mm (6’ x 4’) in size, for all taking part if they would like to bring one. This workshop is limited to 3 participants. We would be delighted to add more workshops if oversubscribed.

Presented by Leszek Wolnik. Contact Leszek for bookings: leszek@fire.ie
