Fine Art Printing – Advanced Techniques
The finest prints are produced by extracting the greatest possible amount of usable information from the digital file and completed by understanding and controlling the wide range of parameters during production in order to achieve the best image possible.
Our masterclass will cover:
- Implementing a colour management system
- The importance of lighting and environmental factors when using the workstation and when proofing
- The relevance and context of the D50 lighting standard
- File preparation and colour adjustment
- Building your own D50 standard proofing booth
All participants will receive a complimentary Lambda photographic print if they bring along a file. This workshop is limited to 12 participants.

Mark is a Master hand and digital printer of 24 years experience and heads up the Fire fine art printing facility. His expertise is valued by artists and photographers and prints he has produced are on permanent display in The Tate Modern and many other galleries and museums.
